As Hanna moves onto the next stage of your career, I want you to join me in congratulating her on this new adventure and wishing her all the best. I welcome you to Hanna’s Going Away celebration on Tuesday, July 26th at 11 am at Rennie Hall.
Greetings:
With mixed feelings, I share that Hanna Ruotsalainen, Manager Server + Network, has found a new job opportunity and will be leaving Emily Carr University. She will work for Fortinet as a DevOps Developer, which she calls “going back to my tech roots.”
Hanna has contributed nine wonderful years to the University, and though we are sad to see Hanna go, we are happy for her to pursue new opportunities. In these nine years, she has been an integral part of our organization, leading the Systems and Network team. She has been diligent, dedicated, and dependable in her work. Over the last year, Hanna has successfully built a fantastic team and led multiple projects in cybersecurity programs, system upgrades, Learning Management Systems support and Microsoft 365 implementation.
Hanna has been an active contributor in the IT leadership team, and it’s going to take a while for us to adapt to her departure, as her influence on the team was immense.
Hanna’s last day at Emily Carr U will be August 4th, and I have started the process for transition planning which includes knowledge transfer and continuity planning as we hire for this position.
As Hanna moves onto the next stage of your career, I want you to join me in congratulating her on this new adventure and wishing her all the best. I welcome you to Hanna’s Going Away celebration on Tuesday, July 26th at 11 am at Rennie Hall. There will be pastries and refreshments.
I look forward to seeing you all there, and feel free to share this invite with others in your area.
