What are you interested in growing this year?

Happy New Year to our ECU gardeners and growers!

The ECU Seed Swap is one of the Library's sustainability initiatives. It allows community members to 'borrow' seeds from us with the aim of germinating, growing, and harvesting various plants. As folks experiment with their seedlings and develop their gardening skills, we hope they will share their experiences with the community. At the end of the growing season, we encourage our participants to harvest and save some of their seeds with the intention of bringing them back to the community to share in the year to come. As the spring growing season is quickly approaching, we are inviting community feedback so that we can try our best to meet your needs. Please take a few moments to fill out our survey to help inform our purchases for 2023.

We are also always accepting seed donations - ask us if you need some empty envelopes.

Keep an eye the ECU Seed Swap Instagram account that for updates as the season starts, and check out our Research Guide for some gardening basics!
