ECU Tuition Scholarships

Emily Carr Tuition Scholarships for students continuing into second, third + fourth year

The following tuition scholarships are available to first, second and third year students enrolled in 12 or more credits at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in the spring semester. Tuition scholarships are awarded to students in the form of a tuition reduction in the following fall and spring semesters. Applications for Emily Carr Tuition Scholarships are made available in March of each spring term through the Financial Aid + Awards office.

Students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.33 and be enrolled in 12 credits or more at the time of application in order to be eligible to apply for scholarships. Students ineligible to apply for these scholarships include fourth year students, students on academic probation and students with a cumulative GPA below 3.33.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a student’s cumulative GPA in May each year after the submission of spring semester grades. Awards are assessed within the applicant’s program area, meaning that a scholarship applicant will only be competing with students from his or her own program area. The amount of scholarship funding that is available is allocated equitably within each program area.
