In Threads of Time (2024), I revive forgotten photographs with embroidered words, highlighting their ability to outlast the people depicted within them. This work invities viewers reconsider the essence of a photograph as more than just an image.

About the Artist

Laura Ayres is a photo-based artist. Her work explores the fragility of human existence, capturing the remnants of life in discarded objects and forgotten spaces. Laura encourages viewers to think about how we leave our mark on the world.
