Redesigning Reports, Assessments, and Resources
Sunny Hill is the child rehabilitation and development program of BC Children’s Hospital. It supports children and youth with disabilities, from birth to their 19th birthday. As well as offering ongoing services to children from across BC, Sunny Hill regularly conducts research so it can improve on the services it provides. One of their primary services is in diagnosing and assessing children with a range of physical and developmental conditions. The current outcomes are a range of print and web based reports and assessments for parents that are rich in content. They have asked the HDL to consider new ways of presenting these reports, assessments and resources to facilitate understanding and comprehension. Over the 2014-15 school year, the Health Design Lab will be working with a team of students to address this design challenge.
