"Figure Drawing in Seven Days" is a charcoal drawing on roma paper. Taking into account a specific way of sharpening charcoal, the fragility of the paper, and the subtle movements of the model, the academic method is much more than "just realistic".

About the Artist

Yuanbao (David) Dong, born 2002, is a student interested in the academic art method. He focuses his studies under the atelier system as he explores ways connect bridges between traditional techniques and contemporary theories.
