Chew is a collaboration between Rain Liu and Maggie Liu. The project is situated in a restaurant setting and is comprised of furniture and several implements. Through the playful dining experience, our goal is to reveal aspects of food otherwise hidden.

About the Artist
Maggie: I am a designer who is curious about the construction of our world, and is dedicated to creating thought-provoking work that supports the imagining of other realities. I am also interested in looking at food both as a topic and as material to design with. — Maggie (Yimeng) Liu
To me, design is a narrative practice through visualization and materialization. It is like presenting a story to your reader, not only the end users but also everyone, everything else that is involved in the story making process. — Shiyu (Rain) Liu
