The Tool Checkout + Material Resale (C1272) is a campus-wide service offering a variety of tools for short-term loan and consumable materials for purchase.

Follow this process to checkout tools:

  • Visit the Tool Checkout + Material Resale service window (C1272 - Level 1, North side of main elevators).
  • Bring your Emily Carr OneCard ID.
  • Tools are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Loan period is 24 hours, with extensions of up to three days.
  • Tools can be renewed in person or via email: toolcheckout@ecuad.ca, subject line "Tool Renewal".
  • Tools should be returned during regular hours (see calendar) on-time, free of debris, and with electrical cords wrapped (if applicable).

Material Selection + Pick-up

  • Materials can be purchased in-person at the Tool Checkout + Material Resale service window during regular hours (see calendar).
  • We accept debit and credit card (Visa, Mastercard) payments.
