Alumni Kevan Funk and Benjamin Loeb clean up at the Leo Awards Gala.

Vancouver- born ECU alumnus (2011) Kevan Funk's much-praised film Hello Destroyer cleaned up at the 2017 Leo Awards! The Leos were awarded at a gala held Sunday June 4 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Kevan took home awards for Best Direction - Motion Picture and Best Screenwriting - Motion Picture. Fellow ECU alumnus Benjamin Loeb (2011) was also recognized for Hello Destroyer, winning Best Cinematography.

Hello Destroyer's producers, Haydn Wazelle and Daniel Domachowski, were awarded Best Motion Picture, and actor Jared Abrahamson took home the award for Best Lead Performance by a Male - Motion Picture.

Also nominated were Joe Buffalo and Kurt Max Runte for Best Supporting Performance by a Male.
