True North: Canadian
Design Stories provides a glimpse into The Carter/Harmon Canadian Design
Archive, a collection of works of design gathered over the past five decades
by ECU Professor Emeritus Sam Carter and partner Peter Harmon.
The exhibition combines items of Canadian design from the Archives along with work from Carter’s own personal collection. The objects and forms on display come from diverse regions of the country. They were made by individuals or teams living in Canada or abroad and date from early times to the beginning of the digital era.
The exhibition is a mosaic of Canadian design that features both iconic and lesser known design showcasing the peoples, cultures, and spirit of this place called Canada.
