Catch the photography of Emily Carr alumnus Tom Hsu (2017) at Yactac Gallery as part of Capture Photography Festival. His exhibit, A Hint Will Keep You Wandering, presents images of the moment before an event, a clever teaser of what might come next. Hsu evokes audience anticipation, curiosity, and offers a unique glimpse into story by alternating between revealing and withholding narrative details. The photos hint at something larger and are sure to provoke thought.

About Tom Hsu:

Tom Hsu is a studio-based visual artist whose works seeks to investigate the absence of the human condition within empty spaces, as communicated through the photography of the everyday mundane. He currently lives and works in Vancouver, Canada and holds a BFA in Photography from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. He is undertaking a residency at Burrard Arts Foundation from April to June 2017. He has exhibited at Unit/Pitt, Index Gallery, and Sweetpup Studio, in Vancouver.
