The Occasional Club: Food and Cooking Ephemera
Join The Occasional Club on February 6th for Food & Cooking Ephemera! The Occasional Club is a space for everyone to share collections of ephemera, books, and design artifacts. We meet every other Thursday from 11:30am in the COMD Studio (C3215)!
The Occasional Club is a club open to the ECU community, with a focus on the sharing of collections: including ephemera, books, and cool design artifacts.
We meet every other Thursday, with a given theme for each week! Organized by a team at the Occasional Press and The Stationery Project, the Club is a free and agile space that expands on our Ephemera Afternoons of the past. Our first event on January 23 focused on Children’s Picture Books, featuring vintage picture books (storybooks and non-fiction) from the collections of Katherine Gillieson and Morgan Martino.
Join us between 11:30am-12:30pm this upcoming Thursday, February 6th, in the Communication Design Studio (room c3215) for Food & Cooking Ephemera! Morgan Martino will share grocery lists, recipe books, kitchen gadgets and manuals, alongside other guests.
You are welcome and encouraged to drop in and take a look, and eventually participate by sharing something of your own! It’s a nice, relaxing activity and a nice chance to spend your lunch hour checking out cool things.
