"Rete: Published Objects as Network" features 20 original books created by emerging communication design students at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Inspired by the keyword "rete" — the Latin root word for "net" — these works range from the sculptural, to the experimental, to the traditional. Collectively, these books explore the question of what a printed book’s role can be in the 21st century. This exhibit is organized by student-run imprint Windowless Ink.
You are invited to see our exhibition at Emily Carr University Library, 2nd floor, on Dec. 9 –11, 2024.
Join us at our Closing Reception there on Dec. 11 at 1pm and celebrate with us the launch of our catalogue, which is available in a limited, risographed edition.
