This edition features painter and muralist Sandeep Johal (currently showing at the Surrey Art Gallery), children's book illustrator and ECU alumn Christine Wei, and Heidi Holmes, current ECU MFA and curator of Yard Space Gallery. The artists will be sharing some of their recent projects as well as providing insights into the ins and outs of how to run an artistic practice, from public art work to gallery exhibitions, working with publishers, grad school and running a gallery. The panel will be followed by a moderated Q + A open to all.
The panel is free and open to the public, and is accessible virtually through zoom. A live viewing room is available on campus. Please RSVP if you will be joinging us in person at abriard@ecuad.ca.
This event is presented at Emily Carr University of Art + Design by the Audain Faculty of Art in collaboration with the Faculty of Culture and Community and the Career Development + Work Integrated Learning Office, and is hosted by Annie Briard's Professional Practice course at ECU.
