Join us in IMS D1400 or online on Wednesday, October 16, from 11:30am for a talk by Ernesto Peña, In Defence of Glitches. The talk is about our relationship with unforeseen occurrences in education, art, design and technology. After the talk there will be a Q+A.

This event is open to the community and part of the MDes Fall Intensive Week for the MDes (Information Futures) stream! Look out for other events on campus over the course of this week!

Ernesto Peña self-describes as a professional designer, turned professional educator, turned professional researcher and academic. Eternal learner and teacher, big-picturer and dot-connector. He is currently an Associate Teaching Professor of Design and the Information Design and Data Visualization Graduate Program Coordinator at Northeastern University, campus Vancouver. He is into information design, media and digital humanities. His research interests include visual literacy, semiotics and rhetoric, visualization, typography, typometry and editorial design, among others.
