Opening Reception | March 7, 6:30 - 9 PM

An installation of ceramics by artist Gailan Ngan (2002) takes centre stage at the Art Gallery at Evergreen. Ngan sets her experimental and innovative sculptures in a fictive environment for Chronicles (March 3–April 22, 2018), her first exhibition at the AGE. Renowned for her skillful, creative approach to clay as a potter and visual artist, Ngan’s ceramics have been exhibited extensively throughout the West Coast.

Gailan Ngan graduated from Emily Carr University in 2002, and since then her works have been exhibited at The Apartment, Art Los Angeles Contemporary, Centre A International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, Western Front, and the Museum of Anthropology. Her work is in numerous collections including the Doris Shadbolt Collection at the Helen and Morris Belkin Gallery at the University of British Columbia. Ngan lives and works in Vancouver.
