Collage portraits by Foundation students in artist and ECU faculty member Mimi Gellman’s Interdisciplinary Core Studio classes 138 and 139 are now on view on Level 3 of Emily Carr University campus, outside the elevators.
The works are a response to a prompt to “create a collage portrait of themselves that expressed both their appearance and their spirit,” according to Mimi.
“These self portraits are an indication of the extraordinary creativity that our incoming cohort are bringing to the university and demonstrate the success that they achieved in both reflecting how they look and in revealing how they feel.”
