Emily Carr University of Art + Design (ECU) is thrilled to announce its annual Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition featuring work from the 2025 cohort of MFA full-residency degree candidates.
Participating artists: Manuele Arias, Claudia Goulet-Blais, Devin Chambers, Lam Hoang, Jianing Li, Boya Liang, Lucine Luo, Pip Mamo, Naomi Watkins, Sansa Wu, Xuemei Zhou
Everything Vibrates showcases the diverse practices of the MFA full-residency class of 2025, with work addressing celestial time, the body, Daoist philosophy, isolation, kinship, the land, memory, metaphor, power, storytelling, uncertainty, and vulnerability through animation, ceramics, drawing, interactive media, installation, photography, performance, sculpture and video.
The MFA program comprises an international cohort of emerging artists who work with renowned faculty and distinguished visiting curators, scholars and artists. ECU offers Full and Low Residency interdisciplinary Master of Fine Arts degree as well as the new Low Residency MFA: Critical Ecological Practices.
The culmination of two years of intensive artistic research, the thesis exhibition showcases the results of studio-based education and critiques integrated with seminar readings and discussions.
Please join us for the opening reception at Emily Carr University on Mar. 27 from 6 to 9 PM. The gallery is open during regular building hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 11 PM, and Saturday + Sunday 8 AM to 11 PM).
