Emily Carr Chorus meets weekly to sing simple songs, rounds, chants, harmonies, melodies and tunes for all voices and all levels of experience. Come hum, moan, drone, croon, trill, murmer, mumble, purr, whirr, whisper and warble with us!

Emily Carr Chorus is led by Sharon Bayly, a singer / song leader as well as shop technician in the 4th floor Stretchers + Surfaces wood shop at Emily Carr.

She has worked with various community choirs since 2017 as song leader: Local Vocals (dir. Anna Baignoche) / Accapellaboratory (dir. Patti Powell) / Rhythm'n'Roots (dir. Karla Mundy). Sharon initiated Singing in the Stairwell at Emily Carr in 2018, and joined forces with Jane Slemon and Joy Onj to co-lead Emily Sings in the Stairwell in 2022/23. She is very excited to start Emily Carr Chorus this fall and hopes it will serve to lift up spirits and raise up the roof!
