Stop by the library on Earth Day (Tuesday April 22nd) from 2:30-4:30pm to pick up a house plant (while supplies last - freshly propagated from our personal houseplants!), have a small snack, and check out Where Does the Ocean End, a group exhibition curated by ECU undergrad Tami Han.

This exhibition delves into the depths of the unconscious mind, exploring the mysterious realm where the unknown resides, beyond the limits of perception.

We would also like to share the new native species window signage on the lower level of the library. Over the last couple of years, we identified native species in the garden beds outside the library and researched them through an Indigenous lens.

Signage includes their names in hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh languages, a description of the plant, plus plant technologies and uses amongst our host nations. The QR codes take you to an online version which features photographs of the plants in different seasons.

We’d love to hear your feedback, so please come celebrate with us on Tuesday the 22nd. If you can’t make it on Earth Day, stop by any time you are available and let us know what you think.
