The Basically Good Media Lab hosts Durations V3, a student-led deep listening party and video art show created to highlight emerging voices from the local arts scene working with new media, sound/video art, and performance.

The event is cost-free and open to all our community.

Organized and curated by BGML’s research assistants and New Media + Sound Art students Rafael Zen and Khalil Alomar, Durations transforms ECU’s IMS into an immersive environment where students, instructors, and members from the community gather to engage with artworks in the first stages of conceptualization, most being shown to the public for the first time, and provide artists with feedback that supports the early stages of their careers.

As an incubator for new ideas and experimentations in new media + performance, Durations V3’s line-up will include: Rafael Zen, Khalil Alomar, Myles Veltenhill, Tidal Pink, Vincent Isabel, Saskia Downard, Kaila Bhullar, Jonathan Tsang, Jamie Martin, Anika Kuban, Kai Lium-Hall, Jade Ariana, Mika Chingcuagco, Asad Aftab, and Kyla Dooley.
