DDM Speakers: NEW WORKS ON 16MM | Artist Film Workshop
Join us for this in-person screening of recent artist 16mm-film works produced by members of the Artist Film Workshop lab from Melbourne, Australia.
The faculty of Design and Dynamic Media is very pleased to be co-presenting—with Iris Film Collective and Cineworks—a selection of recent and very recent artist film works produced by members of the Artist Film Workshop (AFW) lab, located in Melbourne, Australia.
Australian filmmaker and programmer Paddy Hay will be present for the screening to introduce and answer questions. The program reflects the diversity of interests, methodologies, and technologies available to AFW filmmakers: contact printing, optical printing, DIY cameras, and sometimes no cameras at all. The films step into and outside of traditions across abstraction, archival/found footage, audio/vision, and documentary.
All works presented on 16mm film.
