Collection: DANA LEE BROWN is a collection of clothing and bespoke fabrics crafted from soil to loom in collaboration with regional farms and mills. Each piece features a hand-chronicled label sharing its textile's journey of creation beginning at the farm.

Dana Lee grew up in Northern BC and Vancouver before moving to New York to design menswear. There, she eventually founded her eponymous label, DANA LEE (2008–2016), before taking a five-year hiatus from the garment industry. Her in-depth experience with domestic garment and textile production serves as a foundation for this deeper exploration into clothing-making, with a focus on agriculture, fibre and yarn-production, and bioregional design.

Since 2018, Dana has resided on NEXWLÉLEXWM (Bowen Island), the ancestral and unceded territory of the SḴWX̱WÚ7MESH ÚXWUMIXW (Squamish Nation), where her work is also based.

Funded by the Ian Gillespie Faculty of Design + Dynamic Media.
