If change toward a healthier planet is going to be realized, our leaders will have to be on board.

This workshop invites people to learn how to write to members of local and federal government, as well to articulate specific climate concerns and calls to action.

To get involved, just come by the Writing Centre at 11:30am on Thursday, March 19.

“Climate Action! Action! Action!” is a project organized by ECU students. It is meant to engage our local community in response to the current global climate crisis.

The three initiatives that make up the project — a letter writing workshop, a materiality meal, and a climate cut — allow the public to participate in tangible change, as we investigate how decisions to protect and preserve the planet are made at an institutional and governmental level. In the culminating event, happening on March 30, we are offering “climate cuts” to collect hair donations for Matter Of Trust, an initiative based in San Francisco already in motion to pull harmful oil out of our west coast waters.
