4th Year Illustration Anthology Exhibition
Zone 4 - First Floor Gallery @ ECU
February 3rd-10th
Opening Reception: Tuesday, February 4th 6-8pm
The 4th Year Illustration Anthology Exhibition is a showcase of illustration work in conjunction with the annual yearbook-style publication of works from the Illustration Program. 4th year students approaching graduation take the course ILUS 401- Professional Applications in their final Spring semester, a course that helps them turn their theory into practice, interfacing with professional illustrators, editors, art directors, and publishers as a means of honing their portfolios for industry work beyond university. The course culminates with a printed anthology of artworks by all 50+ students in the graduating class of the program, where each student has a spread featuring the best of their works. The first project in the ILUS 401 course prompts students to create a featured work for the anthology This year, those final artworks have also been framed and displayed in an exhibition for the public. The 3-section ILUS 401 course is co-taught each Spring by ILUS faculty Amory Abbott, Sarah Green, and Jeremy Tankard, who also produce and publish the anthology.
