About Kaho Yoshida

Kaho Yoshida is a director and animator, with a special passion for stop motion and mixed media. Her fresh aesthetics and sense of humour bring life to every frame, and her love for storytelling makes her work relatable and approachable.

Raised in Tokyo, Kaho chose to move to a suburban town in Canada by herself at age 15. Struggling to adapt and failing to fit in, she found great joy in expressing herself through visual art, inspiring her to move to Vancouver to pursue an education in art. Kaho earned her degree in Animation from Emily Carr University, winning multiple awards with her grad film and launching her career as a director and animator. Kaho has worked on variety of projects including animation for TED ed, Swissaid, Hootsuite, and more.

When she isn’t animating or drawing, which is not very often, she can be found hanging out with friends, drooling over pug videos online, and thinking of witty things to say to make her sound interesting on her bio.
