100 art projects, twelve leading Canadian artists, sixteen universities and twenty national parks and historic sites come together this month to explore diverse perspectives and offer a legacy for the future.

Thirteen Emily Carr students and one alumnus will be showcasing their work as part of LandMarks 2017, a series of art projects that invites people to creatively explore their connection to Canada. This network of collaborative, contemporary art projects will be found in and around Canada’s National Parks and Historic Sites from June 10 – 25, 2017.

ECU involvement began earlier this Spring through the CCID 202/302 – LandMarks: On-Site course, which introduced students to a range of contemporary practitioners and critical perspectives in order to explore themes related to present-day environmental and climatic crises, the legacies of colonialism, and the complex relationship between nationhood and cultural identity.

ECU student and alumni work will be featured in Stanley Park on June 10 from 10am to 4pm.
