Character Design + Development (CSSC 105)
Explore key aspects of creating appealing, original character concept art for games and film industries. This course introduces the essentials of character development - from references, narrative, body structure, facial expressions, clothing and props - to build a character’s attitude and story. Using a range of techniques and media, you will experiment with different materials, styles and software to develop a powerful, believable character from start to finish. By the end of the course, you will understand the industry-standard process for creating character concept art, with various character concepts and environment sets for your portfolio.

To fully benefit from this course, prior experience with drawing, Adobe Photoshop and Autodesk Maya is required.
