Exploration of 3D Design (CSID 121)

In this course, you will explore hands-on design to develop 3D concepts through fabrication, an effective approach applicable across various 3D design disciplines, including architectural design, industrial design, furniture, wearable items, and sculptural displays. You will be introduced to strategies for generating and refining 3D designs by manipulating space, mass, proportion, contrast and balance. Through a series of design projects, you will apply fundamental principles of three-dimensional design to create both sculptural and functional objects. The course emphasizes ideation and concept development while exploring forms and materials. Imaginative experimentation and problem-solving are at the heart of this hands-on learning experience.
