Crestron AirMedia


Wirelessly present from your device in classrooms, studios, and computer labs using Crestron AirMedia.

Note: AirMedia is not recommended for streaming video due to latency-based audio/video sync issues. For streaming video, please use a wired connection with HDMI.

NOTE: If you have an ECUAD issued Mac from ITS, you can download AirMedia in the Software Centre (see screencap below).

1) In the classroom, studio, or computer lab, activate the AV system by selecting Presentation on the Touchscreen, or On followed by AirMedia on the Key Panel.

The Splash Page will now appear on the Projector Screen or Display, highlighting the Room Number and Code.

2) Remember to be connected to the ECUAD Wi-Fi Network. Students, please use your ECUAD-Student Wi-Fi Network.


3) Launch the AirMedia app. Under Enter receiver's address, enter the IP address or Room Number found at the top left corner of the Splash Page. (ex. 10.18.35.11 or A1010)

4) Now enter the Code visible in the bottom left corner of the Splash Page.

5) Access your Screen Mirroring function by clicking on the swatch in the Menu Bar.

6) Select your Room Number.

7) Finally, you will once again enter the four-digit Code.

Congrats! You are now doing a wireless presentation from your Mac using Crestron AirMedia. Note: AirMedia volume is controlled by the volume keys on your Mac keyboard.

8) In order to disconnect from AirMedia, please click the stop button on the right side of the AirMedia window.

2) Open the Crestron AirMedia App on your PC and refer to the details found on the Splash Page. Remember to be connected to the ECUAD Wi-Fi Network. Students, please use your ECUAD-Student Wi-Fi Network.


3) Under Enter receiver's address, enter the IP address OR Room Number found at the top left corner of the Splash Page. (ex. 10.18.128.62 or B4170)


4) Finally, you will enter the four-digit Code found on the Splash Page.

Congrats! You are now doing a wireless presentation from your PC using Crestron AirMedia.

To connect with CTS (Collaborative Technologies Support) for support on the usage of Crestron AirMedia, please:

  • Pick up the Emily Carr phones in the hallways and dial the CTS hotkey, a CTS tech will answer shortly.
  • Call (604) 630-4559 and a CTS tech will answer the phone.
  • University members may also submit a ticket to report a technology issue or request an orientation.
